A common error among language learners and even some native speakers of any language is the misspelling of certain words. English is no exception. In fact, it is subject to more errors than other languages.
Why? Obviously, this is due to the extensive influence other languages have had on English language through the years. Military regimes, Native Americans, immigration, and countless others have gone a long way to influence English as we know it. As a result, some words are actually alien, therefore peculiarities in their spellings. All the same, reasons for misspelling words vary.
In this lesson, some frequently misspelled English words will be corrected with a brief not on the probable causes for the errors where necessary.
