You will find below a list of useful abbreviations or acronyms used a lot on the internet on social media or when writing SMS ... Try to learn them ASAP, they are very useful.

Acronym/Abbreviation Meaning Definition Examples
2F4U Too Fast For You
4YEO FYEO For Your Eyes Only It indicates that what the sender is about to share is only meant to be seen by the recipient and should not be shared further. FYEO often precedes the sharing of "juicy gossip" or explicit photos.

ACK Acknowledgment
AFAIK As far as I know
AFAIR As far as I remember / recall
AFK Away from Keyboard This abbreviation can simply indicate that you aren't online. AFK is a helpful phrase for communal online spaces, when you want a quick way to communicate that you're stepping away. Used before AFK.

ASAP As Soon As Possible
B/C Because
B2K BTK Back to Keyboard This abbreviation is typically used in computer-based conversations (such as chat forums and multi-player games) to mean "Back To Keyboard." In this context, BTK indicates that a participant who had been away from their computer or console for a brief period has now returned. Used after AFK.
BTT Bump to Top This abbreviation is used in chat forums and on message boards to move or "bump" a message thread (i.e., a conversation) to the top of the page. This is usually done by simply adding a comment (with the term BTT or "up" in it) that makes the thread the most recent, which usually puts it to the top again. The purpose of BTT-ing a thread is to encourage visitors to the site to engage on the thread topic.

C&P Copy and Paste To make a copy of a file, folder or selected text in another location. The phrase "cut and paste" is often used when the function is really copy and paste.
