| Dream during the millet-cooking | 枕中記 | Scholar Lú is on his way to the imperial examination. He stops at a hotel and meets daoist Lǚ. Lǚ lends him a magic pillow for sleeping. Lú falls in dream when the host starts cooking millets, dreams of passing the examination, being successful in his official career, marrying with a beautiful woman and becoming wealthy; then he dreams of getting old, suffering from diseases and dying. When his dream is over, the millets are still not cooked yet. |
