Irregular Verbs in Wolof

Irregular verbs differ from regular ones in that they do not follow the standard verb conjugation rules in certain tenses, such as the past tense. In Wolof, there are many verbs that do not follow the regular conjugation patterns in the past tense. That's why it's important to learn them by heart and practice their conjugation until it becomes natural. In this lesson, we will show you some of the most common irregular verbs in Wolof.

Irregular Verb Conjugation

The conjugation of irregular verbs in the past tense in Wolof involves changing the verb stem or root. Here are some of the most common verbs with their irregular past tense forms:
