Paraguayan Guaraní Grammar - How to Use "Have"

In this lesson, we will learn how to use the verb "have" in Paraguayan Guaraní. We will look at the different forms of the verb and how it is used in sentences. We will also look at some examples of how to use the verb in conversation.

Conjugation of the Verb "Have"

The verb "have" in Paraguayan Guaraní is conjugated as follows:

Person Singular Plural
I ojeporã ojeporãi
You ojeporãva ojeporãiva
He/She/It ojeporãre ojeporãire
We ojeporãme ojeporãime
You (plural) ojeporãte ojeporãite
They ojeporãpe ojeporãipe

Examples of Use

Here are some examples of how to use the verb "have" in Paraguayan Guaraní:

  • Person 1: Ojeporãme ñe'ẽ? (Do I have it?)
  • Person 2: Ojeporãre ñe'ẽ. (He/she/it has it.)
  • Person 1: Ojeporãiva ñe'ẽ? (Do you have it?)
  • Person 2: Ojeporãpe ñe'ẽ. (They have it.)
  • Person 1: Ojeporãte ñe'ẽ? (Do you all have it?)

Practice
