Dutch Grammar - How to Use "Be"

The verb "be" is an irregular verb in Dutch, and it is used to express existence or a state of being. The conjugation of the verb "be" is as follows:

Let's look at some examples of how the verb "be" is used in sentences.

- Wij zijn gelukkig. (We are happy.)
- Jullie zijn vermoeid. (You (plural) are tired.)
- Zij zijn verdrietig. (They are sad.)
