The verb "be" is used to describe a state or condition. It is used to talk about what something is, or what someone is like. In Egyptian Arabic, the verb "be" is conjugated differently depending on the subject.
The verb "be" is conjugated as follows:

Let's look at some examples of how to use the verb "be" in Egyptian Arabic.
- Person 1: انا مشغولة (ana mishghoolah)
- Person 2: انت بخير؟ (inta bikhair?)
Translation:
- Person 1: I am busy.
- Person 2: How are you?
- Person 1: هو مصري (huwa masri)
- Person 2: نحن مصريين (nahn masriyin)
Translation:
- Person 1: He is Egyptian.
- Person 2: We are Egyptians.
