Indonesian Grammar - Give your Opinion

Hi Indonesian learners! 😊
In this lesson, we will learn how to give your opinion in Indonesian. We will look at the grammar rules and some examples. We will also do a quiz at the end of the lesson. Let's get started! 🤩

Rules

In Indonesian, there are two ways to give your opinion:

1. Using the verb 'menurut' (according to) + noun/pronoun + verb 2. Using the verb 'saya pikir' (I think) + verb

Using 'Menurut'

The verb 'menurut' is used to express agreement or disagreement with someone else's opinion. It is followed by a noun or pronoun and then a verb.

For example:

Menurut saya, kamu harus belajar lebih keras. (According to me, you should study harder.)

Menurut mereka, kita harus mengubah cara kita berpikir. (According to them, we should change the way we think.)

Using 'Saya Pikir'

The verb 'saya pikir' is used to express your own opinion. It is followed by a verb.

For example:

Saya pikir kamu harus belajar lebih keras. (I think you should study harder.)

Saya pikir kita harus mengubah cara kita berpikir. (I think we should change the way we think.)
