Bosnian Grammar - Future Tense

Forming the Future Tense

The future tense in Bosnian is formed by adding the suffix -će to the verb stem. For example, the verb biti (to be) has the future tense biće.

Verb Conjugation

The future tense is conjugated according to the following pattern:

Person Singular Plural
First ću ćemo
Second ćeš ćete
Third će će

For example, the verb biti (to be) has the following conjugations in the future tense:

Person Singular Plural
First biću bićemo
Second bićeš bićete
Third biće biće

Here are some examples of the future tense in action:

Ću ići chu eechi I will go
Ćeš biti cheesh bee-tee You will be
