CARDINAL NUMERALS – Бройни числителни


1. We use ЕДНО and ДВЕ when counting: едно, две, три, четири, пет, шест,седем …


2. The cardinal numeral “one” has a masculine, a feminine and a neuter form: ЕДИН – for masculine, ЕДНА – for feminine, and ЕДНО – for neuter.


3. The cardinal numeral “two” has two forms: ДВА – for masculine, and ДВЕ – for feminine and neuter: два портокала, две ябълки, две кафета.


4. Some numerals have two forms – formal and informal (the informal form is in parentheses).

5. Masculine nouns for non-persons have a special plural form called count plural when used after cardinal numbers, КОЛКO and НЯКОЛКО: два лева, колко лева, няколко стола.


6. There are special forms of cardinal numerals from two to four ending in -(И)МА. We use these special forms only with masculine nouns referring to people: двама араби, трима лекари, четирима студенти.


7. The cardinal numbers ХИЛЯДА, МИЛИОН and МИЛИАРД have singular and plural forms. МИЛИОН and МИЛИАРД also have a count plural form.
