Compound sentence (dïrïb aräftä nägär ድርብ አረፍተ ነገር)

A compound sentence is a combination of two simple sentences joined by a conjunction.


Example

  • mïsa bälahu ምሳ በላሁ፡፡wїha t’ät’hu ውሃ ጠጣሁ፡፡
  • mïsa bälahu їna wїha t’ät’hu ምሳ በላሁ እና ውሃ ጠጣሁ፡፡
  • lïju suk’ hedä. ልጁ ሱቅ ሄደ፡፡ šama gäza ሻማ ገዛ፡፡
  • lïju suk’ hedä їna šama gäza. ልጁ ሱቅ ሄደ እና ሻማ ገዛ፡፡
  • anäbalähu አነባለሁ፡፡ ïtäňalähu እተኛለሁ፡፡
  • anäbalähu wäyim ïtäňalähu አነባለሁ ወይም እተኛለሁ፡፡
