In Tunisian Arabic, there are many ways to express emotions. Here are some basic emotions and how to express them in Tunisian Arabic:

Let's put some of these emotions in context with a dialogue:
- Person 1: ู ูุงููู ุฎูุฑฺูจูุงุชู. (mali khirgaat.) - (I'm angry.)
- Person 2: ุดูููููุฉ ุฌูู ููุนูููุ (shnoua jamm3ak?) - (What's bothering you?)
- Person 1: ุชูุงุฌู ููู ูุฎูุงููู. (taj nimkhanik.) - (I feel annoyed.)
- Person 2: ุฎูููู ุจูุงููููุ ุชูุงุฌู ููุฐูุงููุฌู ุดูููููุฉ. (kalli balak, taj nidhayij shwaya.) - (Take it easy, feeling a little frustrated is normal.)
Advanced Emotions[edit | edit source]
In addition to basic emotions, there are more advanced emotions that are specific to Tunisian Arabic. Here are a few examples:

- Person 2: ุนูุฏููุชููู ููุฑูุถูุฉ. (3aditk qorda.) - (I gave you a loan.)
- Person 1: ููุนูููุดู ุฑูุงุถูููููู ููููุฏูููุฑููู ููุฑูุถูุฉ. (na3yisha radiyiin wn-diru qorda.) - (We will live happily and pay off the loan.)
- Person 2: ู ูุง ููู ูุดูููู ููุง ุชูุงููููููุณูุ ููุญูุณูุฏูููููู ู ุจูููุฏูููููู ู. (ma nimshiwlou Taayouns, na7badoukoum beldikoum.) - (We won't go to Tunis, we envy your country.)
Expressing Intensity[edit | edit source]
To express the intensity of an emotion, you can add an adjective in Tunisian Arabic. Here are some examples:

- Person 2: ู ูุชูุฑูุฌูู ู ูููุฏููููู ููุง ุงฺูููจูููููุฒููููุฉ. (mattarjam mindin la anglaisiya.) - (It's translated from English.)
- Person 1: ุฃูููุชู ููุงููู ููููู ุบูุทูุฑูุณู. (anta fahmni ghaTriss.) - (You understand me very rudely.)
- Person 2: ููุฌููุฏูููู ู ู ูุนูุทููููููู. (wijoudikoum mo3attlouni.) - (Your presence is extremely disrupting me.)
