Conjugation
The verb "have" in Ukrainian is мати (maty). It is an irregular verb, so it does not follow the same conjugation pattern as regular verbs. Here is the conjugation of the verb "have" in the present tense:

Usage

The verb "have" is used to express possession. For example:
- Person 1: У мене є собака. (U mene ie sobaka.) (I have a dog.)
- Person 2: А у тебе є кішка? (A u tebe ie kishka?) (Do you have a cat?)
Age
The verb "have" is also used to express age. For example:
- Person 1: Я маю двадцять років. (Ya maju dvadtsiat rokiv.) (I am 20 years old.)
- Person 2: А ти маєш п'ятнадцять років? (A ty maiesh pyatnadtsiat rokiv?) (Are you 15 years old?)
Experience
The verb "have" is also used to express experience. For example:
- Person 1: Я маю досвід роботи з дітьми. (Ya maju dosvid roboty z ditmy.) (I have experience working with children.)
- Person 2: А ти маєш досвід роботи з дорослими? (A ty maiesh dosvid roboty z doroslymy?) (Do you have experience working with adults?)
Habits
The verb "have" is also used to express habits. For example:
- Person 1: Я маю звичку пробігати кожного ранку. (Ya maju zvichku probihaty kozhnoho ranku.) (I have a habit of running every morning.)
- Person 2: А ти маєш звичку працювати в вихідні? (A ty maiesh zvichku pratsiuvaty v vykhidni?) (Do you have a habit of working on weekends?)
