Twi Grammar - How to Use "Be"

In this lesson, we will learn how to use the verb "be" in Twi. We will look at the different forms of the verb and how to use them in sentences.
The verb "be" is used to describe a state or condition. In Twi, it is conjugated differently depending on the subject of the sentence. The verb "be" is conjugated as follows:

Let's look at some examples of how to use the verb "be" in sentences.
- Person 1: Me nya abofra. (I am a teacher.)
- Person 2: Wo nya abofra? (Are you a teacher?)
- Person 1: Ɛyɛ, me nya abofra. (Yes, I am a teacher.)
- Person 1: Yɛnnya abofra. (He/She/It is a teacher.)
- Person 2: Wɔnnya abofra? (Are they teachers?)
- Person 1: Ɛyɛ, wɔnnya abofra. (Yes, they are teachers.)
Now let's practice using the verb "be" in sentences.
- Person 1: Mɛnnya abofra? (Are we teachers?)
- Person 2: Ɛyɛ, mɛnnya abofra. (Yes, you are teachers.)
- Person 1: Nyɛnnya abofra? (Are you teachers?)
- Person 2: Ɛyɛ, nyɛnnya abofra. (Yes, you are teachers.)
