The verb "be" is used to describe a state or condition. In Burmese, it is conjugated differently depending on the subject of the sentence. The verb "be" is conjugated as follows:

Let's look at some examples of how to use the verb "be" in sentences.
- Person 1: ααΊαΌααΉα±αα¬αΉ αααΉααα―α±αααα²α·αα¬αΈ? (Kyun-tar ba-li-lo-kwa-gyi-lar?)
Translation: Am I welcome?
- Person 2: αααΉααα―α±αααα²α·αα«α (Ba-li-lo-kwa-gyi-pa.)
Translation: Yes, you are welcome.
