Many Turkmen adjectives can be used as adverbs e.g. ömürboýy ‘everlasting, eternal’ which can be used with to describe a verb, in which case it means 'eternally’. There are other adverbs which can only be used adverbally such as entek, häli, köplenç, käwagt

e.g.

  • ol entek gelenok – she hasn’t come yet
  • olar köplenç ir gelýär(ler) – they usually come early
