Southern Uzbek Grammar - Future Tense

Hi Southern Uzbek learners! 😊
In this lesson, we will learn about the future tense in Southern Uzbek. The future tense is used to talk about actions that will happen in the future or intentions. In order to form the future tense in Southern Uzbek, we will need to use the auxiliary verb "bo'l-".

Formation

To form the future tense, we will need to use the auxiliary verb "bo'l-" in the base form + the infinitive of the main verb. The formula is as follows:

"bo'l-" + [infinitive of the verb]

Let's take the example of the verb "yom-on" which means "to eat". In order to form the future tense, we will add "bo'l-" to the base form "yom-" and then add the infinitive marker "-on". The result is: "yom-on bo'l-". This construction means "will eat".
