The new soso alphabet is composed of 7 (seven) short oral vowels, 7 (seven) long oral vowels, 7 (seven) nasal vowels, 16 (sixteen) consonants and 2 digraphs

Long oral vowels

Nasal vowels

Digraphs

- x is pronounced kh as in xili
- E is pronounced as in ginE
- ç is pronounced as in pçsta
- ¯ is pronounced like ny in ¯ari
