== Introduction ==

As a Vietnamese language teacher with 20 years of experience, I understand the complexities of learning and perfecting Vietnamese grammar. Navigating through different verb tenses can be particularly daunting for beginners, which is why in this lesson, we will focus solely on Vietnamese future tense verbs.
In this lesson, we will explore the future tense verbs in Vietnamese. The future tense is used to talk about actions or events that will happen after the present moment. By understanding how to use future tense verbs, you will be able to express your plans and intentions in Vietnamese.

Future tense verbs refer to actions or events that will happen in the future. In Vietnamese, future tense verbs can be formed using different structures depending on the context and nuances of the sentence.
Throughout this lesson, we will provide you with cultural information and interesting facts about the Vietnamese language and culture. This will not only deepen your understanding of the language but also give you insights into the rich heritage of Vietnam.

Let's dive into the world of future tense verbs in Vietnamese!

== Formation of Future Tense Verbs ==
== Simple Future Tense ==

The Simple Future Tense in Vietnamese is used to describe a particular action that will take place in the future but has not occurred yet. This tense is often used with time indicators specifying when the future action or event will happen, such as "tomorrow," "next week," or "in three months."
To form the future tense in Vietnamese, we use the auxiliary verb "sẽ" (will) followed by the base form of the main verb. The word "sẽ" indicates that the action will take place in the future.

1. Regular Verbs
For example:
* I will eat. - Tôi sẽ ăn.
* She will go. - Cô ấy sẽ đi.
* We will learn. - Chúng ta sẽ học.

To form the Simple Future Tense with regular verbs, simply add the word "sẽ" (will) before the verb. Here are a few examples:
In Vietnamese, there is no distinction between singular and plural forms of verbs. The verb form remains the same regardless of the subject.

|-
| Anh ấy sẽ đến buổi tiệc. || Ahn ay se {{IPA|də̃ːn}} bwow-i tyek || He will come to the party.
|}

2. Irregular Verbs
1. Talking about future actions: The most common use of future tense verbs is to talk about actions that will happen in the future. This can include plans, predictions, and intentions.

Irregular verbs, just as in English and many other languages, do not follow the same conjugation rules as regular verbs. See the example below:
For example:
* Tomorrow, I will visit my friends. - Ngày mai, tôi sẽ thăm bạn bè.
* She will become a doctor in the future. - Cô ấy sẽ trở thành bác sĩ trong tương lai.
* They will have a party next week. - Họ sẽ tổ chức một buổi tiệc vào tuần sau.

{| class="wikitable"
2. Expressing willingness or determination: Future tense verbs can also be used to express willingness or determination to do something.
! Vietnamese !! Pronunciation !! English
|-
| Tôi sẽ có một phiên bản mới của phần mềm này. || Toy se coh mot fien bom moi cua farn mem nay || I will have a new version of this software.

== Future Continuous Tense ==
For example:
* I will help you with your homework. - Tôi sẽ giúp bạn làm bài tập.
* He will do his best to succeed. - Anh ấy sẽ cố gắng hết sức để thành công.
* We will fight for our rights. - Chúng ta sẽ chiến đấu cho quyền lợi của mình.

The Future Continuous Tense in Vietnamese is used to describe a continuous or ongoing action that will be happening in the future. This tense is often used when we want to emphasize that the action will be in progress at a specific time in the future.
3. Making predictions or assumptions: Future tense verbs can be used to make predictions or assumptions about future events.

To form the Future Continuous Tense in Vietnamese, we use the same structure as in Simple Future Tense with the addition of the auxiliary verb "đang" before the main verb.
For example:
* It will rain tomorrow. - Ngày mai sẽ có mưa.
* They will probably win the competition. - Họ có thể sẽ thắng cuộc thi.
* The price of houses will increase in the future. - Giá nhà sẽ tăng trong tương lai.

Irregular verbs in the Future Continuous Tense don't differ much with irregular verbs in the Simple Future Tense.

== Future Perfect Tense ==
It's important to memorize these irregular verbs as they do not follow the regular pattern.

The Future Perfect Tense in Vietnamese is used to describe an action that will be completed at a certain point in the future. This tense generally uses "sẽ" and "đã" to express the future perfect tense, which translate to "will" and "have" in English.

Now, let's practice what we've learned! Translate the following sentences into Vietnamese using the future tense.
