When to use?
When use the subjunctive in French?
The subjunctive is used to express actions which are uncertain. It is nearly always found in clauses introduced by qui or que. The subjunctive is used normally in a subordinate clause (in other words, after the word que or some other conjuctions) where the preceding main clause requires the subjunctive.
Examples
- Je veux que tu le partes = I want you to do it.
- Il faut que nous allions = it is necessary that we go.
