”Hola! Spanish learners,

Learning to count is essential when starting to learn Spanish and any language. Once you know the numbers, you'll be able to quantify things. For example, you will be able to ask the price of an item when you shop or to tell your age to someone.

Tips:

  • Start with what is easiest! Learn to count to ten in Spanish, then you'll move on to more complex numbers.
  • During the day, every time you count a certain number of items and you think of a number in your native language, try to translate that number into Spanish.
  • To improve your pronunciation, record your voice as you pronounce the numbers in Spanish and compare the recording with the recording below spoken by a native speaker.

Read and Pronounce numbers from 1 to 10 in Spanish

Number Number in Spanish Translation Pronunciation (audio)
1 uno one
2 dos two
3 tres three
4 cuatro four
5 cinco five
6 seis six
7 siete seven
8 ocho eight
9 nueve nine
10 diez ten
