Days of the week in Akan (Twi) / Soul Names (Kradin)
The Akan people have a unique tradition of naming children based on the days of the week they were born. These names are thought to have specific meanings and are believed to influence the character and destiny of the individual.
We call these "day names" Kradin (soul names). Below I list the days of the week in Twi, along with the male and female soul names given to people born each day.
