Interesting Facts[edit | edit source]

In Yoruba culture, education has always been highly valued. In the past, families saw education as critical for social status and their children's future. Education was also a way of preserving Yoruba culture and values.

Today, the Nigerian government requires all children to attend primary school, but many families have difficulty affording it. Private schools are also widespread in Nigeria but can be prohibitively expensive for many.

To improve your Yoruba Vocabulary, you can also use the Polyglot Club website. Find native speakers and ask them any questions!
