The days of the week, or die Wochentage, are all masculine because they use the (-tag) suffix. However, Mittwoch is still considered masculine.

Days of the Week

  • Sonntag - Sunday
  • Montag - Monday
  • Dienstag - Tuesday
  • Mittwoch - Wednesday
  • Donnerstag - Thursday
  • Freitag - Friday
  • Samstag - Saturday

Practice Phrases

  • Heute ist Freitag - Today is Friday
  • Morgen ist Dienstag - Tomorrow is Tuesday
  • Von Sonntag bis Mittwoch - From Sunday to Wednesday
  • Donnerstag ist den fünfte Tag der Woche - Thursday is the fifth day of the week
  • Am Montag trinken wir Bier. - On Monday, we drink beer
  • Gestern war Donnerstag - Yesterday was Thursday
