  • Each translated page will live its life independently: It does not matter if in the end they are totally different. Actually we should talk more of "Language Versions" rather than translations.   • To tell which part must not be translated : it's a special HTML tag. Example <span class="notranslate">Les quatres saisons</span> to add in each English lesson.

Grimpixel: Yes, when it comes to lessons, things are complex. It should be mentioned in every lesson if it is incomplete. Is there any easier way to edit translations? Or improvement on translation team? Vincent:Translations will be edited like a regular wiki page. Anyone can correct or complete the English page or the translated pages. Grimpixel: I see. This is huge. I need to pay more attention to completing lessons. "Language versions" is great, because the ways of teaching varies when the learners are various.

Grimpixel: I think there can be a mistake log for Google, to help people understand how machine translation makes mistake. Vincent: I guess people can see corrections in the page history. the Machine translation is made by the contributor named "Maintenance script" Grimpixel: I think I can create a wiki page for Google's mistakes, and make people be familiar to this. I think maybe the titles can also be translated, then users know that the lesson has been translated into the languages they are learning and teaching. I found that the word "English" in the lessons should also be changed to their respective language names. Also, tables are broken after translation. Grimpixel: I see the style of lessons is being changed: more and more mini-lessons, to be compatible with the new feature. I think it's good, because people don't want to engage a single big lesson, but if the lesson is small, they may tend to help. Vincent: yes small lessons that answer one questions are better I think, also for SEO. I see that people do not correct a lot whereas they correct more the other translation system. I think it's because the size of the lesson and people think they must correct the whole lesson, so I'll add a sentense like "You can correct only a few words if you wish". Also I have tested the Microsoft translate API for the other languages in the Por/Para lessons, the price is 3 times lower than Google. but I am not sure of the quality, so I'll compare the quality of a single lesson Google vs. Microsoft. Grimpixel: I think big lessons can be broken into several small ones. If Microsoft can do as well as Google on simple lessons, that would be great. I saw an open-source Apertium, the quality of which for now is horrible, but I will keep observing. Vincent: results Microsoft vs. Google : Microsoft is 3 times cheaper but with 3 times more mistakes ! in the Google French translation, there were almost no mistakes! the quality is really improving. OMG!
