Here are some important words and phrases you need to know in order to ask for and give directions in Georgian:

Asking for Directions
Here are some ways to ask for directions:
- Excuse me, where is the street?
- Can you tell me, how to get to the city center?
- I'm looking for, the hospital. Do you know where it is?
Here are some examples of how to use the vocabulary above to ask for directions:
- სად არის სასტუმრო? (sad aris sastumro?) - Where is the hotel?
- მაღაზიას როგორ ვხედავ? (magazias rogor vk'edava?) - How can I find the store?
- მისია რომელიც კითხვაჯერ არაფერი არ არის? (misia romelits k'it'qvajer araperi aris?) - Which one is it that I've asked about and haven't been told anything?
Note: If you are asking for directions in a crowded area, the person you ask may gesture with their hands along with verbal directions to help you find your way.
Giving Directions
Here are some ways to give directions:
- Go straight, and then turn left/right.
- Keep going until you reach, the traffic lights.
- It's on your right/left, next to the park.
Here are some examples of how to use the vocabulary above to give directions:
- წინ წადით და მარცხნივ გადით. სახლი მართლაცკურაზეა. (tsin tsadit da martskhniv gadiT. saxli martlatskurazea.) - Go straight and then turn left. The house is on the right side of the street.
- ყუჩას უნდა მიიღოთ და მარჯვნივ გადით. კონცერტის სახლი იქნება თქვენს მარჯვენაველზე. (k'ucha unda miit'o da marjvniv gadiT. kontsertis saxli ikneba tkveni marjvenaveLze.) - You should take the street and turn right. The concert hall will be on your right side.
- წადით სამხედრებლად და შემდეგ მარჯვნივ გადით. ესეთი დასაჯარი გახსნადეთ. (tsadit samkhedreblad da shemdega marjvniv gadiT. eseti dasajari gakhsnadeT.) - Go straight ahead and then turn right. Open the door like this.
Note: If you're giving directions to someone who's going on foot or using public transportation, make sure to provide landmarks such as buildings or signs that can be easily spotted.
Now that you have a grasp of some basic vocabulary and phrases, you should feel more confident asking for and giving directions in Georgian. Practice with a friend or a native speaker and soon you'll be able to navigate your way around with ease!
