Negative Present-Future Tense in Amharic
To form the negative of compound imperfect verbs, again a combination of prefixes and suffixes attached to the verb root/stem.
* The final consonant of the second person feminine follows the same pattern as in the positive construction, with a palatalized consonant (that is, ጭም -č΄im, ጅም -jim, ችም -čim, ሽም -šim, ዝም -žim, ኝም -ňim, or ይም -yim).
