İKİLEME (REİTERATİVE)
- It consists of two words used to strengthen meaning.
- Punctuation marks aren’t inserted between them.
- Reiteratives is established in different ways.
Repeating the same word[edit | edit source]
Gece gece (night night), hızlı hızlı (fast fast), uzun uzun (long long)
- Example: Onunla uzun uzun konuştuk.
Opposite words[edit | edit source]
Az çok (few very), iyi kötü (good bad), ileri geri (forward back)
- Example: İyi kötü yaşıyoruz. (we live good bad)
Repetition of reflections[edit | edit source]
Şırıl şırıl, horul horul, tıkır tıkır
- Example: Mutfaktan tıkır tıkır sesler geliyor.
with close words[edit | edit source]
Yalan yanlış (Lie wrong), doğru dürüst (True honest), akıl fikir (Mind idea)
Meaningless words[edit | edit source]
Abur cubur, kem küm, ıvır zıvır.
Abur cubur: Foods that are eaten randomly without considering whether they are beneficial to human health or not.Crips, biscuits etc.
Kem küm: When a question is asked, people who cannot find an answer say meaningless words.
Ivır zıvır: it's small, redundant, trivial things
