Fruits in Egypt[edit | edit source]
Egypt enjoys a mild climate, safe water sources and exceptionally fertile soil. Egypt's temperate climate also generates two growing seasons per year, summer and winter. The citrus season begins in December and extends into May, providing a range of crisp and juicy fruits, including lemons, grapefruits, tangerines, and local Egyptian oranges. The Egyptian summer season also represents the optimal growing conditions for fruits such as peaches, strawberries, guavas or mangoes.
