Egyptian Arabic Grammar - Give your Opinion

Hi Egyptian Arabic learners! 😊
In this lesson, we will learn how to give your opinion in Egyptian Arabic. We will look at the different ways to express your opinion and how to use them in a sentence. We will also look at some examples of how to use these expressions in everyday conversations. So let's get started!

Expressing Your Opinion

The most common way to express your opinion in Egyptian Arabic is by using the phrase ana ma'ak (أنا معك). This phrase literally translates to "I'm with you" and is used to show agreement or support for someone else's opinion. For example:

أنا معك، أنا أعتقد أن الطريقة الأفضل هي الطريقة الصحيحة.
Ana ma'ak, ana a'taqidu an al-tariqah al-afdal hiya al-tariqah al-sahihah.
I'm with you, I believe that the best way is the right way.

Another way to express your opinion is by using the phrase ana a'raf (أنا أعرف). This phrase literally translates to "I know" and is used to show that you understand or agree with someone else's opinion. For example:

أنا أعرف، أنا أفهم ما تقول.
Ana a'raf, ana afham ma taqul.
I know, I understand what you're saying.

You can also use the phrase ana a'lam (أنا أعلم) to express your opinion. This phrase literally translates to "I know" and is used to show that you have knowledge or experience about a certain topic. For example:

أنا أعلم، أنا أعرف كيف يمكنني التخلص من هذه المشكلة.
Ana a'lam, ana a'raf kayfa yumkini al-takhlis min hadha al-mushkila.
I know, I know how I can get rid of this problem.
