Portuguese Grammar - Future Tense

In this lesson, we will learn about the Portuguese future tense. We will look at how to form it, when to use it, and some examples of its usage.

The future tense in Portuguese is used to talk about events that will happen in the future. It is formed by using the verb "ir" (to go) plus the infinitive form of the verb. For example:

Eu irei falar - I will speak Você irá comer - You will eat Ele irá comprar - He will buy

The future tense can also be used to express probability or likelihood. For example:

Ela irá gostar - She will probably like it Nós iremos chegar - We will probably arrive

It can also be used to express intention or plan. For example:

Eles irão visitar - They will visit Nós iremos fazer - We will do it
