The past tense of the conditional mood is used to express an action that under certain conditions would supposedly take place in the past but did not. It is formed by using the past subjunctive mood and adding the letter “կ” in front of the word.

1) Ես կզրուցեի նրա հետ, եթե իմանայի այդ դեպքի մասին: I would talk to her if I knew about that incident.
2) Նրանք անպայման կօգնեին մեզ, եթե մենք նրանց խնդրեինք։ They would definitely help us, if we asked them.
How is formed the Negative of the Past Conditional (Conditional Mood) in Armanian?
To form the negative of the past conditional tense, the third person singular of the past subjunctive is used along with the past of the auxiliary verb “to be.”

1) Ես ոչինչ չէի ասի, եթե իմանայի, որ դա գաղտնիք է։ I would not say anything, if I knew that it was a secret.
2) Նա մեզ չէր զանգի, եթե իմանար, որ մենք այստեղ ենք։ She would not call us, if she knew that we were here.
The negative conditionals (both past and future) are also used for polite requests.
1) Ներողություն, չե՞ք ասի ժամը քանիսն է: Excuse me, would you tell me what time it is?
2) Դուռը չէի՞ք բացի։
