Compound sentence (dïrïb aräftä nägär ድርብ አረፍተ ነገር)
A compound sentence is a combination of two simple sentences joined by a conjunction.

- mïsa bälahu ምሳ በላሁ፡፡wїha t’ät’hu ውሃ ጠጣሁ፡፡
- mïsa bälahu їna wїha t’ät’hu ምሳ በላሁ እና ውሃ ጠጣሁ፡፡
- lïju suk’ hedä. ልጁ ሱቅ ሄደ፡፡ šama gäza ሻማ ገዛ፡፡
- lïju suk’ hedä їna šama gäza. ልጁ ሱቅ ሄደ እና ሻማ ገዛ፡፡
- anäbalähu አነባለሁ፡፡ ïtäňalähu እተኛለሁ፡፡
- anäbalähu wäyim ïtäňalähu አነባለሁ ወይም እተኛለሁ፡፡
