In Paraguay, the official language is Spanish, but the co-official language is Guaraní. The Guaraní language is spoken by more than half of the population as their first language, and it is considered an important cultural heritage in South America. Learning the days of the week in Guaraní can help you better understand the local culture and communicate with native speakers. Did you know that the names of the Guaraní days of the week are related to weather and natural elements? For instance, "Arateĩ" means "the day of the moon", which is associated with a fresh start of a new week. Similarly, "Arape'á" refers to the wind, "Ararundy" is related to the rain, and "Arasa'y" is associated with the clouds.
