Forming Sentences in the Conditional Mood[edit | edit source]

The conditional mood in North Levantine Arabic is formed by using the particle إذا (if). This particle is placed at the beginning of the sentence and is followed by the verb in the subjunctive mood. For example:

  • إذا كان الطقس جيداً، سأذهب إلى الشاطئ (If the weather is good, I will go to the beach)

Examples[edit | edit source]

Here are some more examples of sentences in the conditional mood:

  • إذا كنت تريد المساعدة، سأقوم بمساعدتك (If you want help, I will help you)
  • إذا كان الطقس سيءاً، لن نذهب إلى الشاطئ (If the weather is bad, we won't go to the beach)
  • إذا كنت تحب الحلوى، سأجعل لك بعض الحلويات (If you like sweets, I will make you some sweets)
