Haya is a Bantu language, also known as EkiHaya, Ekihaya, Ekihâya, Kihaya, Oluhaya, Oluhâya, Ruhaya or olu-Haya. It is spoken in northern Tanzania and close to Lake Victoria. In 1991, the population of Haya speakers was estimated at 1.2 million people. The language is written with the Latin alphabet.
