[h2]MINI-MISSIONS FROM 0 – A1[/h2] - Learn a you-specific intro by heart. Use that as the answer when your teacher or language exchange partner asks you to talk about yourself. - Listen to the absolute beginner and A1 level podcasts (the Innovative Language series is my favourite) to get listening comprehension, and to get used to the very basic questions you’re likely to be asked at this level. - Have a quick exchange on the HelloTalk app. These are low-pressure chats where you can stop to look things up in a dictionary. This is your first (very important) experience in actually using the new language! - Study basic vocabulary decks on Anki, and find fun mnemonics on Memrise, so I have specific words at the ready. - Prepare your cheat-sheet for everything you may want to say for a basic introduction conversation, and have it handy. Read through it so you are relatively confident about pronunciation, and paste words you don’t know into Forvo. - Cram as much as you can and have a live conversation with a native speaker (30 minutes max!) on italki, so you can use what you know in real life. Rely on a dictionary to help move the conversation forward (see how I did this with Polish here).

Usala come risposta quando il tuo insegnante o il tuo interlocutore di scambio linguistico ti chiedono di te. - Ascolta podcast per principianti assoluti o per il livello A1 (il mio preferito è la serie Innovative Language) per raggiungere la comprensione orale, e abituarti alle domande basilari che probabilmente ti verranno fatte a questo livello. - Prova ad avviare una breve chat con la app HelloTalk. E' una chat a bassa velocità di risposta dove potrai fermarti per cercare le parole sul dizionario. Questa è la tua prima esperienza (molto importante) con l'utilizzo vero e proprio di una lingua nuova! - Studia insiemi di vocabolario di base su Anki, e prova le divertenti tecniche di memorizzazione di Memrise, così avrai a portata di mano delle parole specifiche. - Prepara una scaletta con tutto ciò che potresti voler dire in una semplice conversazione per presentarti, e tienilo a portata di mano. Leggilo in modo da avere una relativa sicurezza sulla pronuncia, e incolla le parole che non sai pronunciare su Forvo. -Studia più che puoi e prova ad avere una conversazione dal vivo con un madrelingua su italki (massimo 30 minuti!), in questo modo puoi usare ciò che hai imparato in una reale conversazione. Utilizza un dizionario per far andare avanti la conversazione (guarda come ho fatto io con il polacco qui). Questa è la tua prima (molto importante) in realtà esperienza utilizzando la nuova lingua! - Studiare i ponti vocabolario di base su Anki e trovare mnemonici divertimento su Memrise, quindi non ho parole specifiche alla mano. - Preparare il cheat-sheet per tutto ciò che si potrebbe voler dire per una conversazione di base introduzione, e hanno a portata di mano. Leggere attraverso di esso in modo che siano relativamente sicuri di pronuncia, e incollare le parole che non conosci in Forvo. - Cram quanto più possibile e avere una conversazione in tempo reale con un madrelingua (30 minuti max!)
