Generally, there are a few indicators that can help you identify spam (unsolicited bulk emails) in your Polyglot Club mailbox. If a message fulfills some of the following criteria, it is most likely spam:

- a member sends you a message with an e-mail address: [a href = '/help/my-mailbox/no-email-address']the Polyglot Club mailbox does not allow it[/a]. However, some spammers try to write their e-mail address in a different way so that the system does not recognize it;
- you are offered a large sum of money, but you have to provide a small sum first;
- you are asked to enter some of your personal data – bank account or credit card numbers, usernames, passwords, etc;
- you are asked to do something right away or within a few hours;
- you receive a generic greeting. If the message says something along the lines of "Dear Member," "My dear friend," or "Your profile was so nice."

Over het algemeen zijn er bepaalde indicatoren die je kunnen helpen om spam te herkennen (ongewenste bulk mails) in je Polyglot Club mailbox. Als een bericht aan een van de volgende criteria voldoet, is het waarschijnlijk dat het spam betreft:

- Een lid stuurt je een eerste bericht met een email adres: [a href='/help/my-mailbox/no-email=address']de Polyglot Club mailbox staat dit niet toe[/a]. Er zijn echter spammers die hun e-mail adres op een andere manier schrijven zodat het systeem het niet herkent.
- Er wordt je een grote hoeveelheid geld aangeboden, maar je moet eerst een kleine som betalen,
- Er wordt je gevraagd om je persoonlijke gegevens in te vullen - bankrekeningnummer of creditcardgegevens (bv. nummer), gebruikersnamen, wachtwoorden etc. ,
- Als aan je gevraagd wordt om iets per direct of binnen een aantal uur te doen,
- Kijk uit voor gegenereerde begroetingen. Indien er zoiets staat als "Dear Member/Beste lid", "My dear friend/Aan mijn goede vriend", "Your profile was so nice/ Je profiel was erg mooi".

    Terms that will become HTML links on PolyglotClub.com webpages are surrounded by brackets and colored red, like: this is [link1]PolyglotClub.com[/link1]. You should translate the words colored black, because they will actually be displayed. Please do not translate HTML links that appear in red.
    Example:
    English: Go to the [link1]main page[/link1].
    French: Aller sur la [link1]page principale[/link1].

  • 4. Do not translate those words
    Words or phrases surrounded by a [notranslate] tag should not be translated.
    Example:
    English: You can say: "[notranslate]Hej![/notranslate]".
    French: Vous pouvez dire : "[notranslate]Hej![/notranslate]".

  • 5. Formal and informal Translations
    Please submit the formal expression of the item. Avoid slang and impolite expressions.
