Alongside the generic economic instruments, the EVs can also benefit of the preferential pricing policies (e.g. road pricing based on emissions or preferential parking fees) or measures such as preferential access rights (e.g. for high-occupancy lanes, bus lanes, or congestion charging zones).

The main question is should we create some sort of “EV priority” in the cities.

Beside the French carmakers, the government is indeed one of the EV ecosystem’s founders.

Though, his unifying capacity remains yet underused.

The government can provide the baselines for a more intensive and accurate cooperation between all different concerned stakeholders.

It’s especially important to improve the cooperation level between the local authorities and the key economic actors in order to boost the “territorialisation” of the EVs ecosystem.
