Let's start by looking at some useful words and phrases related to giving opinions:

Now that we have some basics, let's learn how to use them in a full sentence.

Grammar

To give an opinion in Armenian, use one of the following sentence structures:

1. Հարցնել + noun + թե + ձեզ ուղղարկել + adjective

Example:

• Հարցեք օրվա ավանդի մասին, թե դժվար է թեկուզ ձեզ ուղղարկել: (Harts'ekh orva avandi masin, te dzhvar e tekuz jez ughargarel.) - Ask about the schedule and express that it's difficult to send it to you.

2. Հարկավոր է + verb-infinitive + noun + թե + եմ + adjective/noun

Example:

• Հարկավոր է օգնել՝ ես բոլոր աշխատանքների համար: (Harkavor e ogneel, es bolor ashkhatanneri hamar.) - It's necessary to help, I am good with all works.

3. Հավանաբար + sentence

Example:

• Հավանաբար ես պիտի հոգ ջնջեմ: (Havaban es piti hogjnjem.) - In my opinion, I have to erase the error.

Note that in Armenian, the structure of the sentence can depend on the context of the conversation, and it can sometimes be flexible. However, these three structures are often used when expressing opinions.

Dialogues

• Dialogue 1: At the stationery store

Armenian	Pronunciation	English
Ինչպե՞ս ես, կարող ես օգնել:	"Inchpes es, karogh es ogneel?"	"How are you? Can you help?"
Ես հարցնել եմ, թե օրվա ավանդը մեծ գույնին չի եղել:	"Es harts'nel em, te orva avandi mek guyinn chi e ekel."	"I asked, but the schedule hasn't been printed brightly."
Եթե ուզում եք, կցուցադրեք ձեր գործարկումը, որ մենք քննարկում ենք:	"Etek uzum eq, ktsutghadrek dzery gorakoomi, vor menq knanrakum enk."	"If you want, please demonstrate your product that we are discussing."
Հավանաբար, ձեզ հաշվի առնելով փորձարկում ստանալու եմ, որ դա պարզ է ծանրանում:	"Havaban, jez hashvi aynelov progharakum stannaloo em, vor da parz e tsanranum."	"In my opinion, by keeping your attention to the research, it’s clear that it's maneuvering."

Այո, պարզ է, բայց ամեն մի գիտական գրքից նվիրվածները ժամանակ են պակաս են:	"Ayo, parz e, baits an mee gitakan grki nvirvatsneri dzhamanats en pakas en."	"Yes, it's easy, but the assigned pages from each scientific book is overwhelming."
