Some verbs have Present Tense stems that are formed irregulry. Those must be remembered.
- хотіти (to want) – “хоч-”
- йти (to go) – “йд-”
- рости (to grow) – “рост-”
- жити (to live) – “жив-”
- красти (to steal) – “крад-”
- могти (to be able) – “мож-”
- плисти (to swim) – “плив-”
Here is a table of personal Present tense endings of verbs of the first conjugation group, irregular verbs:

I go | Я йд-у |
You go | Ти йд-еш |
He goes | Він йд-е |
She goes | Вона йд-е |
It goes | Воно йд-е |
We go | Ми йд-емо |
You (plural) go | Ви йд-ете |
They go | Вони йд-уть |
