Participles of medial verbs in Georgian
Participles of medial verbs are produced by:
“მ-”,
“მო---ე”,
“მ---არე-/-ალე” and
“მ---არი-/-ალ-:
მცურავი (“swimming”),
მგმინავი (“moaning”),
მოჩქარე (“hurrying”),
მოჭიდავე (“wrestling”),
მოცეკვავე (“dancing”),
მხურვალე (“hot”),
მღელვარე (“worrying”),
მტირალი (“crying”), etc.
Only one participle of the verb “to go” ვალ (სვლა) has all three tenses:
Georgian | English | |
---|---|---|
Present | მომავალი | “one, who is coming” |
Future | მოსავალი | “one, who will come” |
Past | მოსული | “one, who came” |
