  • I want to be helpful.
  • Caring and sharing are very important values for me.
    • I strongly believe that I am a trustful person, besides the fact that I've already worked with children.
    • I am open-minded and I have a wide capacity of adaptation to other people needs.
    • This is one of the reasons, I want to become an au pair.
  • I love spending time with children.
    • Personally, it's easy for me to establish a relationship with other people especially when talking about children I am someone who's ready to listen to others' needs and who's engaged with kid's welfare.
    • I am also patient.
    • They make me happy.
    • They are always honest and trust others.
    • I like their creativity, their imagination.
  • I come from a big family and I have always been surrounded by many children.
  • I am the "godmother" of a little girl called Lily and I am very involved in that role.
    • My main experiences with children are the following.
  • I looked after two of them (7 and 10 years old) for 6 weeks between June and July 2013.
    • I lived with this family in Toulouse during this period.
  • I took care of them from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm.
    • I sometimes had to stay there at night during their mother's business trips (it was a single parent family).
    • I had to cook their meals, help them with their homework, accompany them to their various activities (swimming pool, activities, parks...).
  • I also did school support during the 2012-2013 school year in an elementary school.
  • I went into the school every Monday and I took care of 1 or 2 children between 6 and 9 years old.
  • In February 2015, I spent a week as a volunteer at a leisure center with children aged 3 to 12 years.
    • This week was very rewarding.
    • I participated in different activities such as making-up children for the carnival, the preparation of garlands and sculptures, an outing on snowshoes...
    • I had to help children to dress, eat, go to the toilet … In July 2015, I worked in a festival where I took care of children in a daycare during three days.
    • We were 5 adults for near fifteen children from 3 to 12 years.
    • We made creative activities (painting, drawing, colouring...) games and make-up.
    • Moreover, I took first aid measures courses and I started getting informed on children development by reading articles regularly on that matter..
    • Being an au pair will allow me to share with children, but not only.
    • I want to become an au pair to discover a new culture, a new language … I want to discover another daily life, another way of life … It is a great challenge but also a great chance to share a year with a new family.
    • This will allow me to grow, up become more independent.
  • This experience will be a great asset for my future.
    • I see this experience as a real exchange between you, my future host family, and me.
    • I want to give you as much as you can give me.
    • I will show you my culture: food, music, traditions ...
  • And French humour of course!
  • So, I am really motivated to become a new member of your family.
    • I am really eager to meet you and discover your country, your house, your culture...
    • It would a dream come true.
  • If you have questions or if you need any clarification, please do not hesitate to ask me.
  • Looking forward to seeing you soon, Yours sincerely, Pauline
