Russian National Celebrations:

1 Yanuary - "New Year Celebration" - "Новый год" or "Noviy god" in transcription. It's the most popurary russian celebration. Russians allways congratulete each other in this day.

7 Yanuary - "Christmas" - "Рождество" or "Rojdestvo". Christmas isn't so populares in Russia as in catholic world, but year after year its popularity  growning. Russians christians congratulete each other in this day.

23 February - "National Defender's Day". This celebration was consistently named "Soviet Army's Day" ( 23 february 1918 Soviet Army was founded), "Russian Army's Day" and "National Defender's Day". Russians celebrate it as Male's Day. Russian women congratulate in this day thies men.

8 March - "Womens's Day". This celebration originate from communist "International Womans's Day". But communist matter is forgoten now and russian men in this day simply congratulate thies women.

12 June - "Russia Day". In this day 12 June 1990 after USSR collapsing was founded Russia State. Russians mostly celebrate it as "one more vacation day". Russians mostly don't congratulate each other in this day.
