Greek punctuation follows similar rules to English punctuation, but there are a few differences to keep in mind. In this lesson, we'll cover the most important Greek punctuation marks and how they're used.

# Comma (Κόμμα): This mark is used to separate items in a list or to separate clauses in a sentence. In Greek, it looks like a small vertical line with a dot beneath it (,).
# Semicolon (Ερωτηματικό): This mark is used to separate independent clauses in a sentence or to separate items in a list when those items themselves contain commas. In Greek, it looks like a semicolon (;).
# Colon (Δίποδο): This mark is used to introduce a list or to introduce a quote or explanation. In Greek, it looks like two small dots, one above the other (:).
# Question mark (Ερωτηματικό): This mark is used to indicate a question. In Greek, it looks like a small vertical line with a dot above it (?).
# Exclamation mark (Θαυμαστικό): This mark is used to indicate strong emotion or emphasis. In Greek, it looks like a small vertical line with a dot above it (!).
# Quotation marks (Εισαγωγικά): These marks are used to indicate direct speech or a quotation. In Greek, they look like small commas above the text (« »).
# Parentheses (Παρενθέσεις): These marks are used to set off additional information or to indicate a digression. In Greek, they look like small semicircles (()).
# Ellipsis (Αποσιωπητικά): This mark is used to indicate that some text has been omitted. In Greek, it looks like three small dots, one above the other (...).

In general, Greek punctuation is used in a similar way to English punctuation, but it's important to pay attention to the specific marks and their usage. With practice, you can become proficient in using Greek punctuation and make your writing more accurate and effective.

Σημεία στίξης είναι ένα σύνολο από «σημάδια» που χρησιμοποιούμε στο γραπτό αλλά εμφανώς και στον προφορικό λόγο. Μας βοηθούν να τον οργανώσουμε σωστά και να τον ζωντανέψουμε, κάνοντας διάφορες παύσεις ,χρωματίζοντας τον τόνο της φωνής μας, ανάλογα με το μήνυμα που θέλουμε να στείλουμε. Με τα σημεία στίξης δηλαδή, δίνουμε ανάλογη κύμανση στη φωνή μας(επιτονισμός) και πετυχαίνουμε να στείλουμε με τον καλύτερο δυνατό τρόπο το μήνυμά μας, έτσι ώστε ο δέκτης να μπορεί να το κατανοήσει, π.χ. να καταλάβει αυτό που επιθυμούμε να εκφράσουμε π.χ, θαυμασμό, ερώτηση, έκπληξη κ.λ.π.
