Slang

In slang, there is no difference between "be going to" and "want".

Examples:

  • I'm going to the cinema(formal) = من قصد دارم به سینما بروم
  • I want to go to the cinema(formal) = من می خواهم به سینما بروم
  • I'm going to the cinema(slang) = من می خواهم به سینما بروم
  • I want to go to the cinema(slang) = من می خواهم به سینما بروم

In slang, the future verb is not used. The adverb is used with the present tense

Examples:

  • I will go to Tehran tomorrow(formal)
  • I'm going to Tehran tomorrow(informal)=فردا(قید) به تهران می روم (زمان حال)
