If you are traveling in France, you will need to know how to say hello or goodbye. Here are the main ways to greet in French:
Formal
- Bonjour ! = hello!, good morning!
- Bonsoir ! = hello!, good evening!
- Bienvenue = Welcome
- Enchanté ! = Nice to meet you!
- Comment allez-vous ? = How are you?
- Je m’appelle Pierre = My name is Vincent
- Je m’appelle… = My name is Vincent
- Enchanté ! = Nice to meet you!
- Comment allez-vous ? = How are you?
- Je vais bien = I am doing (going) well.
- Et vous ? = And you?
- A bientôt ! = See you soon!
- Au revoir ! = Goodbye!
- Adieu = Farewell
