Who are you ? Speak about yourself[edit | edit source]

Here are some simple questions to introduce yourself to others and make simple conversation to share your information with others (informal)

What's your name?
How old are you?
Where do you live?
How many brothers and sisters do you have?
What is your father's job?
What are your hobbies?
What would you like to be in the future. Why?
What is your favourite colour?
What is your favourite car?
What is your favourite country?

Use these common conversational greetings for friends, family, as well as people you meet in casual settings.

Nice to meet you
Glad to meet you
Good to meet you
Pleased to meet you
It's a pleasure to meet you
Nice to meet you too
Good to meet you too
Pleased to meet you too

COMMON PHRASES IN AN ENGLISH PRESENTATION[edit | edit source]

Generally for the first approach it is common to introduce ourselves by saying our name, asking how the other person is and what his name would be.

From this, it is possible to form a series of sentences.

Here are some examples below:

  • Hi. I am … What’s your name?
  • Hello, I would like to introduce myself
  • Pleased to meet you. My name is…
