The reflexive pronouns show that the
same subject acts and suffers at the same time. There is no nominative of the reflexive pronoun, but we find there in the indirect form. Reflected pronouns are a combination of the non-reflected "αὐτός". They have three people and their variation is as follows |
myself, ourselves Eg : ἐμαυτὸν ἀποκτείνω I kill myself β' person: σεαυτοῦ, σεαυτῆς yourself, yourselves γ' person: ἑαυτοῦ, ἑαυτῆς him, her, itself themselves |
α' personne: ἐμαυτοῦ, ἐμαυτῆς
moi-même, nous-mêmes Ex : ἐμαυτὸν ἀποκτείνω : je me tue β' personne: σεαυτοῦ, σεαυτῆς * toi-même, vous-même, vous-mêmes γ' personne: ἑαυτοῦ, ἑαυτῆς lui, elle, eux-mêmes |
* Competing forms:
σεαυτοῦ> σαυτοῦ - σεαυτῆς> σαυτῆς Ex .: γνῶθι σαυτόν “know thyself” "Chilon the Lacedaemonian 6th century BC" |
* Formes concurrentes :
