Οι Πυθιόνικοι είναι επινίκιοι ύμνοι του Πινδάρου, 45 σωζόμενοι,
που αναφέρονται σε νικητές των τεσσάρων διασημότερων πανελλήνιων αθλητικών αγώνων και χωρίζονται σε τέσσερις ομάδες: Ολυμπιόνικοι, Νεμεόνικοι, Πυθιόνικοι και Ισθμιόνικοι. Οι Πυθιόνικοι αποτελούνται από 12 ωδές. |
Pindare (518 - 438 av. J.-C.) est un célèbre poète lyrique Grec.
Il est le premier à faire de l'épinicie, hymne de triomphe, une sorte de poème dont la signification est à la fois religieuse et morale. Ces héros sont les gagnants des quatre jeux de sport panhelléniques les plus célèbres et sont divisés en quatre groupes: Olympiens, Néméens, Pythiques et Isthmiens. Un vers de son poème Pythiques, dans certaines langues. |

Ψυχή μου, μην ποθείς αθάνατη ζωή, αλλά επιδίωκε μοναχά ό,τι περνά απ᾽ το χέρι σου και εξάντλησέ το. |
